The ODF Class Reference in this folder is in the form of a QuickView database named "ODF Assistant". ODF Assistant gives you rapid access to up-to-date descriptions of the ODF API. It provides a complete reference to all ODF-defined subsystems, classes, methods, functions, macros, types, constants, and global variables. It includes extensive hypertext links for rapid, easy navigation and provides useful features such as copy text, fast full-text search, user annotations, and resizable windows.
Installing QuickView
To install QuickView, copy the Class Reference (QuickView) folder to your hard drive. The folder contains the QuickView application, a Help file, the ODF Assistant database, and this ReadMe file. You may copy the files anywhere, but the QuickView application and any databases it is to access must reside in the same folder.
Installing OpenDoc and ODF Databases Together
You can combine the OpenDoc Assistant QuickView database--available elsewhere on this CD--with the ODF Assistant by moving them both to the same folder. The QuickView application and its help files are duplicated in both places, so you only need to drop the ODF Assistant into the OpenDoc Assistant folder in order to use them both together.
Using QuickView
If you have questions on how to use QuickView and its databases, you can consult the Macintosh Programmer’s Assistant Help file, accessed through the Help menu when QuickView is active. This help file describes how to use QuickView with both ODF Assistant and OpenDoc Assistant, as well as Macintosh Programmer’s Toolbox Assistant.
